SHOP
STEWARDS
FUSE has strategically placed Shop Stewards in areas all across the
District, so that employees have someone near their work area they can
go to in order to discuss union issues. The Steward structure is set
up to give employees two different individuals that they can go to --
one located within the work area or building, and one located outside
the work area.
The Steward is your link to the leadership of FUSE. Stewards serve
a very important role in our Union, by being the eyes and ears of the
leadership. Stewards serve to communicate with the membership, identify
contract violations, and handle grievances.
