IMPORTANT LINKS FUSE LOCAL 1212 |
INFORMATION FOR NEW MEMBERS We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Federation of United School Employees (FUSE), Local 1212, and give you some basic information about your union. FUSE is a local union of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) with the strength and unity of over 600,000 members internationally. Through LIUNA, members are provided representation services and access to other member benefit programs. FUSE represents all classified staff on all collective bargaining matters including salary, working conditions, job classifications, and health benefits. We have representatives on several key committees, and, of course, we are there throughout negotiations and the grievance process. We also have a Steward System in place to help you. The FUSE Executive Board meets the first and third Thursdays of every month at 8:00 a.m. in the FUSE Office (I-4). FUSE members are welcome to attend board meetings. There are also regularly scheduled general meetings of the entire membership, which are held quarterly. FUSE Local 1212 believes in you, and wants to help you find success in your job.
